The International Airport of Goiânia receives a new system

The Goiânia International Airport control tower, located in the Santa Genoveva neighborhood, has deployed TATIC 2.0 to modernize its operations. The former SGTC gave way to the TATIC TWR system.

The replacement represents a necessary solution, as the SGTC had stopped receiving updates, not integrating its modules into the Brazilian Air Space Control System (SISCEAB). It created an overload in operation for the air traffic controllers who work from the aerodrome.

Such action was provided in a contract signed by the Airspace Control System Implementation Commission (CISCEA) with Saipher ATC. The company is responsible for the TATIC Suite (a set of solutions that includes the TATIC TWR System), consisting of integrated modules for use in the most diverse air traffic planning, management, and control sectors. The products have the prerogative of guaranteeing integrity and efficiency in exchanging information equitable for all SISCEAB users.

About the TATIC TWR

Saipher ATC developed the TATIC TWR System to operate Electronic Flight Progress Strip (EFPS) based control towers. Among its primary purposes are the assistance to the air traffic controller in the organization of local traffic, the storage of relevant operational information for use at a local or global level, and the integration of data with own or third-party systems to assist in collaborative decision making.

Presence in international airports

The TATIC TWR System, installed in Goiânia, has been in operation at the São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos, since 1998. It serves different positions in the control tower and is used in medium and heavy traffic. In addition to Goiânia and São Paulo, it is also operating in Rio de Janeiro, (RIOGaleão – Tom Jobim Airport), in Belo Horizonte, (Tancredo Neves International Airport - Confins), Curitiba (Afonso Pena International Airport), Salvador (Dep. Luís Eduardo Magalhães), Manaus (Eduardo Gomes International Airport), Brasília (President Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport), among others.

Features of the TATIC TWR system

• Modular system that allows the use of clusters and redundancy.

• Microsoft Platform.

• Biometrics to ensure the identity of the operator.

• Conflict manager, user alert feature about possible problems, such as two aircraft on the same runway.

• Design and navigability developed for the best possible usability for the user.

• Integration with ATC and airport systems to ensure data fidelity and consistency.

• System monitoring - The systems have their own CMS (Content Management System) so that the user can monitor the system's status.

• Allows integration among tower systems and other ATC systems, minimizing the possibility of human error, maintaining the integrity of information received and transmitted between bodies.
