3ª Reunião BR-UTM


Saipher was present at the third meeting of the BR-UTM Project, held at the Airspace Control Institute (ICEA) in São José dos Campos. Product Manager Elias Fernandes and Consultants Derick Baum and Rubem Schneider represented the company. Specialists, government and academic authorities, as well as representatives from industry and military organizations, were present. The event featured important Governance, Technology and Operational panels.

When talking about Saipher's participation, Elias highlights the importance of collaboration between the different sectors represented at the meeting. "The integration of experts, government authorities, academics, industry and military organizations is essential for the success of the BR-UTM Project!" he reinforces. "Everyone's commitment to sharing knowledge and experience in the search for innovative solutions for Unmanned Traffic Management in Brazil is crucial for us to face the challenges and explore the opportunities that arise with the advancement of technology in this sector," he adds.

Artificial intelligence and 5G communication were also topics of discussion during the meeting. The proposal was to identify how these technologies can be applied to improve drone air traffic management.

 

About the BR-UTM Project

 

The BR-UTM Project aims to develop solutions that enable Unmanned Traffic Management in Brazil (UTM). The leadership is from the Airspace Control Department (DECEA), in partnership with the Airspace Control Institute (ICEA). Companies, academic institutions and other government regulatory bodies participate. The activities of the BR-UTM project are divided into three thematic areas: Governance, Operational and Technology.

 

Topics covered during the meeting

 

In Technology, the following was presented: Inter-USS Architecture, Discovery of requirements, Authentication, Security Analysis, Presentation of test results and Public security requirements (PR Criminal Police). In Governance, there was a presentation of the prototype document, discussion about the document - industry counterpoint, procedures related to approval and implementation, requirements necessary for implementing a UTM provider along the lines of ICA 63-10, basic services, equipment, material and personnel, and creation of provider categories. In the Operational area, highlights were the presentation of the BR-UTM ICA model, the writing of ICA BR-UTM text proposals and the presentation of the compilation of proposals.
