It's an exceptional opportunity to expand Saipher's development capabilities significantly. It is how the Director of Innovation and New Business, Veteran Brigadier José Vagner Vital, describes the recent granting of a subsidy to the company. Saipher joins 24 other Brazilian companies operating in the defense sector, responsible for 22 innovation projects that will receive a total investment of R$238 million from the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development (FNDCT). Through this funding, Saipher will make it possible to make progress toward installing its observatory telescope, a tracking center for operational and non-operational orbital objects.

To celebrate the approval of these projects, the Ministry of Defense (MD), the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and Finep (Financier of Studies and Projects) held the Celebration Ceremony for Companies Approved in the Public Selection in Brasília MD/MCTI/FINEP/FNDCT – Economic Innovation Subsidy for the Defense Industrial Base (BID). Representatives of the companies were gathered, including Saipher's Space Engineer, Ph.D. Wagner Mahler, who, on the occasion, received the grant approval certificate from the company.

Pansera, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos, the Minister of Defense, José Múcio Monteiro, in addition to the Executive President of the Association of Defense and Security Industries (ABIMDE), Roberto Alves Gallo Filho.

When addressing this critical achievement, Vital highlights Saipher's pioneering role as the first company in Brazil and South America to specialize in Space Situational Awareness (SSA), Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Traffic Management (STM). "The grant will provide Saipher the opportunity to rapidly expand its services related to sustainability and resilience in space," he said.
