Success in the TATIC 3D SIM FAT

Saipher has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the 3D control tower simulator (SICAD/TATIC 3D SIM), an innovative technology entirely developed by the company. The product is the first and only 100% Brazilian tower simulator. It offers detailed 3D visualization of airfield and airport scenarios. It integrates the TATIC SIM module, which allows for a complete simulation of air traffic control and digital management of flight plans with electronic progression sheets, providing a robust and realistic experience for controller training.

The process was attended by representatives of the Airspace Control System Implementation Commission (CISCEA), including the Project Coordinator, Engineer Mario Franco, and the Systems Analyst, Barbara Silveira from the Airspace Control Institute (ICEA), Major ESP CTA José Carlos Coelho, Captain ESP CTA João Paulo Vieira Rangel, Lieutenant ESP CTA Adeilton Marcelo Carvalho de Oliveira, Sub-Officer BET Leandro Luis Lopes and Nilson Cavalcante de Sousa. The School of Aeronautical Specialists (EEAR) was represented by the Air Traffic Control Instructors, Sergeant 1S BCT Erick de Faria and Sergeant 2S BET Thiago de Vasconcelos Ananias and, from the Airspace Control Detachment of São José dos Campos (DTCEA-SJ), Lieutenant ESP CTA Jorge Henrique de Oliveira de Godoy, Chief of the Control Tower of São José dos Campos Airport, and Sergeant 1S BCT Beatriz Laia Barreto Cândido de Paula, Air Traffic Controller, participated. The Saipher team, led by Project Manager Lucas Rodrigues, coordinated the event, which was considered a milestone in the delivery of the solution. “We concluded the FAT with unanimous approval from stakeholders, a success that reinforces Saipher’s commitment to excellence in innovation and the trust of our partners,” he said.

About TATIC 3D SIM

TATIC 3D SIM is a solution developed to meet the training and qualification needs of air traffic controllers. The product offers features such as a faithful graphic representation, genuine aeronautical behavior and the ability to integrate with ATC systems used in real control towers, such as TATIC TWR, Data Link Clearance (DCL) and A-CDM.

It simulates the movement of aircraft and ground crews at an airfield, allowing ATCOs (air traffic controllers) to practice and improve their technical capabilities in different scenarios. TATIC 3D SIM can also be used as a tool for research into new air traffic management methods and procedures, which will still be implemented in real life.

This is a solution designed and built by air traffic controllers using modern 3D rendering tools. The result is a highly immersive simulation environment capable of simulating realistic scenarios. TATIC 3D SIM is used by schools that train and qualify air traffic controllers, as well as Air Navigation Service Providers (ASPs).
