Strategic Room of EMAER and the 28 years of AEB


Saipher ATC's Director of Innovation and New Business, Brigadier José Vagner Vital, visited the Strategic Room of the Air Force General Staff, in the company of the Chief of EMAER, Lt. of the Defense and Air Brigadier Paulo, of the 2nd and 3rd Sub-chiefs of the General Staff of the Air Force. Following the activity, Vital can show the company's vision regarding the application of high technology to the aerospace sector and the opportunities and projects that Saipher has identified. "We are at the disposal of the Brazilian Air Force for the creation of new tools that meet the FAB's missions, whether in the air or space," he said. The Director also highlighted the importance of the space issue, not only in terms of defense or science and technology, "but also in terms of government action to establish adequate public policies that leverage the aerospace sector, so that industries provide services to society and strengthen themselves to enter the global market," he added.


28 years of AEB


Vital, also Coordinator of the Aerospace Committee Marechal-do-Ar Casimiro Montenegro Filho from the National Union of Defense Material Industries (SIMDE), also commemorated the ceremony 28th anniversary of the creation of the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB). The President of AEB, Carlos Augusto Teixeira de Moura was the official opening of the event, held in Brasília (DF). On occasion, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Marcos César Pontes, the Air Force Commander, Air Lieutenant Brigadier Carlos de Almeida Baptista Junior, the Former Director of the Alcântara Launch Center (CLA), Colonel Aviator Marcello Correa de Souza, among other civilians and soldiers.

AEB is an autarchy linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovations (MCTI). The institution is responsible for creating, coordinating, and executing the Brazilian Space Policy. Created by 1994, its focus is on undertaking the efforts of the Brazilian government to promote the autonomy of the space sector.
